Product has a hard plastic arch support similar to those found in medical orthotics that are custom made. This is covered by a soft low profile full foot insert that fits in all my athletic shoes (ASICS tennis &running) comfortably. I was told by my podiatrist that wearing this type of support will slow down the development of a bunion. They are very comfortable and I fell like I’ve gained a bit of height when wearing them. I have a high arch, I have bought other supports that didn't really provide any arch support. These templates do support you. I used them during a walk of more than 40 minutes straight (which is generally when the sides of my legs start to hurt) and they really helped a lot so I didn't have any discomfort.
